Why the name Autism Today Now?

You’ll always know it’s Elli -

Our daughter has a wonderfully unique way of communicating and her text messages are clearly her own language. We decided to get her an iPhone in the hopes of increasing and improving language and communication. It was a great decision. However, there have also been some interesting side effects to allowing access to her mobile device. She is a relentless text and call machine. She’s been known to call someone 80 times in a few hours. Which has lead to some selective contact list maintenance, mainly because most folks are not prepared for the onslaught of messages. She also for reason unknown to us, ends most of her text with the phrase “TODAY NOW” It has become an endearing tag line for her and her life. She will sometimes get a hold of our phones and those on the other end immediately recognize the text are coming from Elli. So, as we started moving into this next season and decided to get our outreach and teaching organized. The name Autism Today Now fit perfectly. I hope you enjoy the adventure with us and join the opportunity to explore and learn more about the incredible dynamics of the world of autism.
